Raid 2 is a 2025 Indian Hindi-language crime thriller film directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, serving as the much-anticipated sequel to Raid (2018). Headlined by Ajay Devgn in the iconic role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik, the film also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor in pivotal roles. Set seven years after the events of the first film, Raid 2 continues the gritty narrative of India’s war against white-collar crime and financial corruption. This time, Amay Patnaik returns with renewed determination to dismantle a new web of high-profile tax evasion, corporate fraud, and illicit wealth accumulation. Staying true to the tone of the original, the sequel is inspired by real-life income-tax raids conducted by the Income Tax Department of India, in collaboration with intelligence agencies. The film offers a gripping portrayal of bureaucratic courage, systemic rot, and the painstaking work behind anti-corruption operations. | |
